This interactive resource helps children identify an animal living in the environment around them, how seasons affect it and how our actions can impact on its life. The resource encourages children to ask and answer questions and consider how they can demonstrate care, responsibility and concern for living things in their area.

A resource aimed at developing pupil’s knowledge regarding the identification of swans, to study their place within the environment, the life cycle of a swan and factors that affect this particular animal within its environment. This unit looks at minibeasts and may be useful either prior to embarking on work of a practical nature or after a practical session collecting and observing bugs. This activity should not replace the practical task of collecting bugs. The thrill pupils have in first hand observations of live creatures cannot be replicated on a whiteboard screen.
